About FRAMEWORKS

Attach living storiesto the art you already have.

FRAMEWORKS is a lightweight web-based platform that lets artists, galleries and communities attach video, audio or image overlays to existing artworks, photographs and prints — using the artwork itself as the trigger.

No app store. No special hardware. Just a phone, a QR and your work.

What FRAMEWORKS does

  • • Uses a photo of your artwork as the AR trigger.
  • • Lets you upload a video, audio or image overlay.
  • • Generates a viewer link and QR code automatically.
  • • Gives visitors simple, browser-based AR on their phone.

Designed for real-world use

FRAMEWORKS was built for exhibitions, pop-ups and community projects where you want an extra layer of story — without asking people to download a dedicated app or buy special frames.

It's currently in an MVP phase, focused on simple flows that work well in real settings.

How FRAMEWORKS works

Step 1

Capture the artwork

Upload a clear photo of the physical work. This becomes the visual trigger for FRAMEWORKS to recognise.

Step 2

Add the digital layer

Attach a video, audio track or image overlay — process videos, oral history, language, performance, or behind-the-scenes material.

Step 3

Print the QR card

FRAMEWORKS generates a viewer link and QR code. Print a display card and install it next to the artwork so visitors can scan and watch.

Who FRAMEWORKS is built for

Independent artists

Add process, language, song, or spoken stories to existing works without needing to hire a developer or build a custom app.

Galleries & curators

Extend shows with context, interviews, and layered narratives that visitors can unlock with a simple scan.

Community & cultural projects

Use FRAMEWORKS to connect murals, photographs, and archival images with local voices, language and stories.

Current MVP features

  • • Web-based creator dashboard (no installs).
  • • Image + video + audio overlays supported.
  • • Simple AR mode using the phone's camera.
  • • Experimental MindAR tracked mode for image targets.
  • • Printable QR display cards per artwork.

This is an evolving tool. Future updates may include theme options, richer analytics, more AR modes and tighter integrations with artist workflows.

Public viewer vs creator access

FRAMEWORKS is split into two simple layers so it's easy to use at exhibitions and events:

  • Public viewer links – anyone who scans the QR code or opens the link can view the AR experience for published artworks. No login required.
  • Creator tools – artists and admins sign in to upload artworks, attach overlays, generate QR cards and manage which pieces are published.

In other words: audience members just scan and watch; only creators need accounts.
